| Raul Armenteros, aka "Ramon," aka "The Monster" |
On July 11, 2012 Miami cops responded to a report of a baby crying inside a parked van at NW 7th Street and 37th Avenue.
Instead of a baby, the cops found 8 roosters, 4 guinea hens, 4 pigeons, 4 goats and a duck inside the van which was parked with the windows rolled up.
The Miami Herald's Daniel Chang explained Armenteros' talents this way: "His nickname is The Monster. And if you don’t know why, then you probably haven’t seen his body of work."
CBS4's Jim DeFede reported, "Armenteros is also Miami biggest – and we mean biggest – porn star. Known by the stage name “Ramon” and “The Monster,” Armenteros has spent most of the last decade making adult films in South Florida for the region’s bevy of internet porn sites, including the World Famous Bang Bros."
Because of that, the story of Armenteros' arrest went viral.
And then, just as quickly, it was forgotten.
But last month - in a development that no one in the Miami's media community noticed - Armenteros was convicted of all 20 counts of animal cruelty.
He was sentenced to 5 years of supervised probation and assessed more than $11,000 in fines and court costs.
