Video via WSVN-TV

Sure, I poke fun at Channel 7. Who doesn't?

But you'll never catch me saying anything negative about WSVN's veteran photojournalist Ralph Rayburn.

Ralph Rayburn
No one does a police chase like Ralph.

He proved that once again today as three knuckleheads led cops on a wild chase up the Palmetto Expressway. The action started in Kendall and ended 23 miles away in Miami Gardens.

Ralph covered the entire thing. Just like he's been doing for more than 25 years at Channel 7.

Ralph knows Miami.

And he knows how to shoot video - all while listening to police radios, communicating with his pilot and talking with anchors back at the studio and providing a blow-by-blow description of the action to his viewers.

Talk about multitasking!

The best thing about Ralph?  He knows when to shut up.

Listen at 11:18 when he tells the anchors, "Ladies, I'm running out of words."

Good stuff, Ralph!

  1. Ralph is like an aerial Google map of South Florida. His voice-over is great!
