Urban issues reporter Frances "Frenchie" Robles and photographer Tim Chapman are moving on.
Chapman is retiring after 40 years at the Herald. His last day is Dec. 31st.
Robles, a new York City native who speaks fluent Spanish, has been hired by the New York Times. Her last day is Dec. 14. She joined the Herald in 1993. Most recently she's been the Herald's lead reporter on the Trayvon Martin story.
She told me today that she'll spend about four months in New York but after that she'll be covering Florida and the Caribbean from South Florida.
