Sarah Palin wants you to know she didn't "mess up about Paul Revere."

Back when Keith Olbermann had his show on MSNBC, I sometimes played a little drinking game while watching his show. Every time he called Sarah Palin "an idiot," I'd down a shot. One night, I got really, really drunk. More on Olbermann in a bit. Today, Sarah Palin appeared on FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace. And, after having a few days to think about her Paul Revere history re-write earlier this week, she re-wrote her re-write, telling Wallace, "I didn’t mess up about Paul Revere." (Are you keeping up with this?)
“You know what, I didn’t mess up about Paul Revere. Here’s what Paul Revere did. He warned the Americans that ‘the British were coming, the British were coming’ and they were going to try to take our arms. . . . But remember, the British had already been there . . . part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there that, ‘hey, you’re not going to succeed. You’re not going to take American arms. You are not going to beat our own well-armed persons, individual, private militia that we have.’ He did warn the British. And in a shout-out, gotcha-type of question that was asked of me, I answered candidly. And I know my American history.”
You read that right. Palin thinks questions about American history are, "gotcha-type of questions." Don't believe me? Watch for yourself.

Olbermann was right, Sarah Palin is an idiot! Here's Olbermann in October, 2008, outlining just how clueless Sarah Palin was when answering a "gotcha" queestion submitted by a third-grader about the duties of the vice president...a job she was seeking. Almost three years later, it's kind of funny watching Palin mangle the answer to a question she should been able to answer in her sleep. But, in 2008, the thought that Palin might actually have been elected to a job just a heartbeat away from the president wasn't funny at all.
