Sarah Palin...dumb as dirt
Watching Sarah Palin attack David Letterman on cable news teevee for the umpteenth time today, I thought of the quote attributed to Will Rogers, "When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging."
Her performance reminded me - in a strangely perverse way - of this classic clip of Barney Fife trying to recite the Preamble to the Constitution.

So true! Thanks for the Fife clip, too.
ReplyDeleteWow. I just came across your blog, and I can assure you I will not read it again. I'm really not getting your Barney Fife analogy - not once did Sarah Palin stutter, lose her train of thought, hold her head in her hands in frustration, or in any way go off point. Are you showing us your illiterate caveman tendency to look at an attractive woman and see her mouth moving but not understand a single word she is saying? Because I find it hard to believe that anyone would not agree 100% with her stance on this, and I'm sure you know by now that Letterman apologized, as he should have. Does the idea of an adult man impregnating a 14 year-old girl make you laugh? I bet I'm right to assume you don't have kids, and unless you get somewhat of a parental clue, I can only hope you never do. You and your "South Florida Lawyers" kindred folk too. "Dumb as dirt"? Really? The irony of that coming from you...
