Random Pixels: Same great taste. Just fewer calories.

At the end of this month - and after more than 1200 posts - Random Pixels will enter its fourth year in the South Florida blogging scene.

To mark the occasion, I've done some remodeling. I brought in new furniture and hung some fresh drapes. Probably the most noticeable change is that I've deep-sixed that awful background color that looked like something found in a baby's diaper. I think the new look is cleaner, brighter and easier to read. Hope you like it as as much as I do.

I've also shortened the name of the blog. I started out with the clunky name of Random Pixels and Loose Talk from Miami Beach. A while back I dropped the Miami Beach. But now it's just Random Pixels, which is what most people were calling us anyway.

I'm also rebuilding my blogroll. If you have a blog here in South Florida and would like to be included just leave a comment or shoot me an email.

I probably don't need to mention that in three years of blogging, I've made a lot of friends and a few enemies along the way.

The enemies include some folks on the 5th floor of One Herald Plaza, Miami-Dade mayor Carlos Alvarez and 3300 of his closest and best-paid friends.

I didn't start this blog - nor was it my intention - to change any one's mind about anything,

All I wanted was a place to share a few things I thought were interesting.

Here at Random Pixels, it's all about style and very little substance.

I try to keep things light and put a smile on your face.

I do get into some politics here; but I know NO ONE comes here to read my opinions. There's nothing more boring or ponderous than a steady diet of politics on a blog. (You know who you are!)

I plan to keep it up as I enter my 4th year. Stay tuned for more foolishness and perhaps, a few surprises.
