Persistent pooch tries to outsmart courthouse security

A TV videographer was on hand last Friday as a very determined dog tried to find its owner who was conducting business at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice building in Miami.

Enjoy!

  1. Poor dog! why would the owner have left him outside alone like that? Doesn't this owner realize the security guy probably has more important things to do than be a dog sitter?

  2. People should not think that dog abuse is funny or cute. Do we even know that was the owner?

    1. If you think this animal abuse, you need to go see a proctologist and have him remove that bug that's living in your a**.

    2. Ok. Nice way to engage your readers. Not only is it illegal, it is also dangerous for a pet to be off-leash and alone on the streets. He could have been taken by a stranger, run over by a car, etc. Just b/c your are clueless and careless doesn't mean you're right.

Miami Dade county Pet Laws: Dogs are not permitted to roam free off your private property. They must be leashed at all times. (Section 5-20) http://www.miamidade.gov/animals/pet-laws.asp

    3. No disrespect intended...

      I understand your points.

But when I first saw this video, I knew exactly what was going on. I see this every so often where a dog owner will leave a dog outside a store or whatever and the dog has obviously been trained to stay put.

I used to patronize a Starbucks on South Beach. Every day a guy would show up with his dog and go inside for a coffee. He left his dog outside and the dog would park itself obediently and wait for the owner to come out. Obviously, you can't do this with every dog.

This video reminds me of a simpler time in Miami when people used common sense and didn't consult the Dade County ordinances on guidance on how to run every single aspect of their lives.
