From TIME Magazine:
"I love Fidel Castro," blurts Ozzie Guillen, the new manager of the Miami Marlins, in his Jupiter, Fla., spring-training office before an early-March team workout. From NBC Miami:
"I respect Fidel Castro," Guillen was quoted as saying. " You know why? A lot of people have wanted to kill Fidel Castro for the last 60 years, but that motherf**ker is still here."One of my Facebook friends thinks that with those comments, Ozzie may have solved the parking problem at the new ballpark. "Looks like they won't be needing that extra parking after all," says Roger.
The Miami Marlins released a statement Friday in response to the article.
"We are aware of the article," said a spokeswoman for the baseball team."There is nothing to respect about Fidel Castro. He is a brutal dictator who has caused unthinkable pain for more than 50 years. We live in a community filled with victims of this dictatorship and the people in Cuba continue to suffer today."
But seriously, Ozzie! I love you meng! But you can't go saying sh*t like that! Especially when your team plays in LIT-TLE HA-VA-NA!
