Tom Falco, the not-too-tightly-wrapped publisher of the Coconut Grove Grapevine blog, has re-established his on-again, off-again, on-again relationship with the Miami Herald's Community News Network and the paper is again linking to his stories.
Last month, Falco quietly dissolved his partnership with the paper. In an email he told me, "I wasn't getting many hits from them. I was getting about 30 hits a day, not worth the trouble." But on his blog a month before he severed ties with the Herald he wrote: "with the partnership with the Miami Herald, we have thousands of more readers per day."
Falco partnered with the Herald's news project last March although he once accused the paper of stealing his stories.
But Falco, it seems, changes his mind more often than a lovesick 12 year-old girl.
So, will he keep up his relationship with the paper? That, I suppose, will depend on what time of the month it is!
