Random Pixels web browsing Tip o' the Day

I've mentioned this before, but for those of you who may have missed it here it is again.

I was talking with a local journalist the other day who told me that he didn't realize that the Miami Herald archives were available online for free.

Unfortunately the Herald is one of the few U.S. newspapers that hides its content behind a pay wall after a week or two.

But if you are a member of the Miami-Dade County Public Library System, everything in the Herald's archives dating back to 1982 is available for free.

If you have a library card, just go to the library's main page and click on "Databases and More."

You'll be asked to enter your card number and then you'll be directed to a page where there's a link for the Herald, along with hundreds of other resources, including all U.S. newspapers.
